EXPLORE THE CULTURAL RICHNESS OF OUR DESTINATIONS Tourism and Culture
Immerse yourself in history, gastronomy and unique traditions.
Porto Cristo, on the east coast of Mallorca, is famous mainly for its impressive Drach Caves. Although the summer months are the best time to visit them, you should not miss the opportunity to explore this labyrinth of caves in other seasons.
Also, inside the caves is the largest underground lake in Europe, measuring 170 metres in length. One of the most impressive moments of the visit is the concert that takes place in the lake, in which musicians perform classical pieces while sailing by boat through the subterranean waters. For those who wish to complete the experience, they can take a boat to travel the last hundred metres of the lake to the exit - a must for nature and music lovers!
Another cultural visit close to the Zero Drach del Mar are the Hams Caves, only 800 metres from the Drach Caves. Discovered in 1905 and opened to the public in 1910, it is another must-see. One of the highlights of the Hams Caves is the "Concert of the Earth", an audiovisual show that uses the cave formations as a screen and features light and sound effects to create a unique experience. There is also a concert hall where live music shows are held.
